Mandatory if arriving from a yellow fever endemic country (most of sub-Saharan Africa and parts of South America). Present your international vaccination card at the port of entry. Vaccination must be at least 10 days before arrival.
Tanzania is a malaria zone. Consult your doctor 4–6 weeks before departure about prophylaxis (Malarone, Doxycycline, or Mefloquine). Use DEET-based repellent and sleep under treated nets.
Ensure you are up to date on: Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid, Tetanus–Diphtheria–Pertussis, and Measles–Mumps–Rubella. All are recommended regardless of destination.

Single-entry visa on arrival is available at Julius Nyerere (Dar es Salaam), Kilimanjaro, and Zanzibar international airports. Apply in advance at immigration.go.tz for an e-Visa to skip queues. Multiple-entry visas are also available.
